Emulation to build the country and consolidate the great unity bloc

Patriotism expressed through emulation movements

The VGCL promotes the movement "Good Labor - Creative Labor", not only caring for the rights of union members but also actively participating in emulation movements launched by the Fatherland Front. Emulation movements such as "Good Labor, Creative Labor", "Good at state affairs, good at housework" and "Green - Clean - Beautiful" have spread strongly, arousing the spirit of creativity and dedication of union members and workers. More than 383,837 initiatives with a profit value of more than 40,000 billion VND have been applied, contributing to promoting socio-economic development and completing political tasks of sectors, localities, and enterprises.

The rate of commendation for direct workers and non-leading position holders reached more than 35%, exceeding the set target, clearly showing the orientation of taking union members and workers as the center, strongly directing commendation to the grassroots level, where they directly organize and respond to emulation movements.

Trade union levels mobilize union members and workers to actively participate in emulation movements launched by the Prime Minister, especially the movement "Promoting the development of synchronous and modern infrastructure; practicing thrift, combating wastefulness" and "The whole country emulates innovation and digital transformation", affirming the important role of the Trade Union in implementing the key tasks of the country.

Typically, in 2024, the VGCL coordinated with Vietnam Electricity Group to launch a emulation movement to build a 500KV circuit 3 power line from Quang Trach (Quang Binh) to Pho Noi (Hung Yen), helping the project to complete a record in 6 months instead of 2 years. During the construction process, Trade Unions at all levels organized hundreds of delegations to visit, encourage and give gifts to workers with an amount of nearly 20 billion VND.

Responding to the emulation movements of the Trade Union, in 2025, union members and workers nationwide implemented more than 186,000 initiatives, bringing benefits of 17,503 billion VND.

Contributing to building the great unity bloc

Not only performing well the function of representing and caring for and protecting the rights of union members and workers, the Trade Union organization is also an active member, effectively participating in emulation movements and campaigns launched by the Vietnam Fatherland Front such as "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized cities", "The whole country joins hands for the poor", "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods".

In the movement to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas, trade union levels have actively propagated and mobilized union members and workers to implement a civilized lifestyle, maintain environmental sanitation, and participate in embellishing workplaces and residential areas. Grassroots trade unions have organized movements "Green - clean - beautiful, ensuring labor safety and hygiene", "Workers for green cities", contributing to improving the appearance of rural and urban areas and improving the quality of community life.

In the movement "The whole country joins hands for the poor", the Trade Union implements many initiatives to promote the spirit of mutual affection of workers. Trade union levels mobilize union members and workers to contribute to support the "For the Poor" Fund and social security programs launched by the Fatherland Front. From the fund, the Trade Union supports the construction and repair of Trade Union Shelters, Great Solidarity Houses, gives gifts, and grants scholarships to children of poor workers. At the same time, the Trade Union coordinates with the Fatherland Front Committee and local authorities to support the poor in developing production and sustainably escaping poverty.
