After the floodwaters receded, many businesses in Gia Lai are urgently cleaning up and overcoming the damage to soon resume the production chain.

On November 24, Mr. Hoang Thanh Tuan - Deputy Director of Duc Toan Company Limited (Phu Tai Industrial Park, Quy Nhon Bac Ward) - said that the company is focusing all its efforts on cleaning the factory, checking machinery and handling damage after many days of being deeply submerged in floodwater.
"Storm No. 13 caused significant damage, now there is a flood, the company has suffered heavy damage, the number cannot be counted yet. The finished goods are almost submerged in floodwater, and even though the machinery has been declared high, it is still wet and damaged," Mr. Tuan informed.

According to the Deputy Director of Duc Toan Company Limited, the repair work is expected to last 3-4 weeks. Currently, the company is trying to negotiate with customers to extend the delivery schedule, and at the same time proposed not to apply the fine for force majeure reasons, when the company suffered heavy damage due to natural disasters.
According to the Gia Lai Economic Zone Management Board, heavy rains and floods caused deep flooding, damaging machinery, equipment, supporting infrastructure systems and goods such as mattresses, fabric, wood, etc. of many enterprises in Nhon Hoi Economic Zone and industrial parks in the province. Phu Tai Industrial Park was the place with the most damage, with 33 factories deeply flooded.

Preliminary estimates show that the total damage to enterprises in Nhon Hoi Economic Zone and industrial parks is about 500 billion VND. Currently, the flood water has receded, businesses are counting the damage and urgently implementing remedial measures to soon stabilize production.
