Of the total 1,479 recruitment and enrollment targets at the job fair on November 22 in Hanoi, the demand for unskilled labor only accounts for 14%.

According to the Hanoi Employment Service Center, at the Phu Thuong Ward Employment Consulting and Transaction Festival held on November 22, 33 units and enterprises participated in the total recruitment and labor export demand of 1,479 targets.

Labor recruitment targets according to qualifications requirements, the demand for recruitment of workers with college and university degrees or higher accounts for the highest rate: 751/1,479 targets, accounting for 50.8%; demand for recruitment of workers with intermediate qualifications, technical workers 515/1,479 targets, accounting for 34.8%; demand for unskilled labor recruitment: 213/1,479 targets, accounting for 14.4%.

Notably, seasonal - part-time jobs or those for new graduates, general labor with an income of 5-7 million VND/month only account for 14% of the total recruitment target.

Mr. Vu Quang Thanh - Deputy Director of Hanoi Employment Service Center commented that the rate of high school labor recruitment and new graduates in the job fair in the last months of the year was 14% - low compared to the same period many years ago.

According to Mr. Thanh, in fact, from the end of the third quarter to the beginning of the fourth quarter every year is the time for businesses to increase the recruitment of seasonal workers for the peak production season at the end of the year. Not to mention, jobs in the trade - service sector also recruit many workers for travel, festivals, Christmas, New Year's Day, etc.

"The transaction rate only has 14% opportunities for unskilled workers and new graduates, showing that job opportunities are increasingly difficult for unskilled, less experienced and professional workers," said Mr. Thanh.
