On November 21, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City Tran Nam Hung signed Decision 2660 announcing a natural disaster emergency to respond to and handle serious damage at the Duy Phuoc bridge approach road (Ba Ngan bridge), in Hoi An ward.

Recorded at the scene, the approach road section on the Hoi An ward side was eroded by floodwaters, many locations were deeply eroded, the roadbed and the embankment on both sides of the bridge abutments were swept away. The Da Nang Department of Construction said that the industry is completing procedures to issue an Emergency Construction Order. The Department will design and construct the unit to carry out the repair as soon as there is a decision. The repair must ensure the earliest route opening and absolute safety.

From October 26 to now, many prolonged heavy rains after storm No. 12 have caused the Thu Bon River to rise, causing widespread flooding and landslides. At Duy Phuoc bridge alone, major floods have eroded the land along the river, washed away the approach road and the four-hat embankment on both sides of the bridge abutment, causing traffic congestion, affecting hundreds of households on both banks.
