On July 16, speaking with reporters, Mr. Dang Ngoc Hau - Vice Chairman of Son La Provincial People's Committee - said that the plan to send 5,000 workers in the province to work abroad under contracts is one of the key solutions to create jobs, increase income, contribute to poverty reduction and develop local human resources.
In the period of 2025 - 2030, Son La province strives for 100% of communes and wards with workers to participate in labor export, without age restrictions if they meet the requirements of health, skills and foreign languages.
To realize the above goal, in recent times, departments, branches and labor export enterprises in the province have coordinated to implement many free consultation and propaganda activities, supporting workers to access preferential capital sources. Foreign language training courses, vocational skills and legal knowledge are organized suitable for each target group and each market.
"Son La province pays special attention to controlling the selection process to ensure transparency, limiting risks, especially the situation of illegal workers or violating the law in the host country. At the same time, the province also encourages businesses to link up training, creating a stable and skilled labor force" - Mr. Hau said.
According to labor export units in Son La province, Japan, Taiwan (China) and some European countries are currently the destinations chosen by many Son La workers thanks to their high income, professional working environment and the opportunity to accumulate experience.
