The subjects that the Trade Union takes care of during Tet are all union members and workers, with priority given to union members and workers in especially difficult circumstances, those who have had work accidents, occupational diseases, serious illnesses, or those affected by natural disasters, storms and floods; union members and workers from policy families, ethnic minorities; union members and workers who stay at their units and enterprises to work, produce, and do business during Tet.
Mr. Do Duc Hung - Chairman of the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union said that the affiliated unions balance their regular revenue and expenditure sources during the year and use union financial resources to take care of union members and workers in difficult circumstances according to the allocated number and support level of VND 500,000/person, paid in cash.
For units that balance their own revenue and expenditure and pay their obligations to the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union, based on the approved regular revenue and expenditure estimates, the unit decides on a higher expenditure level, but not exceeding VND 1,000,000/person.
With the support of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, 1,000 units and employees in the Electricity industry will be given shopping vouchers worth 500,000 VND/person to participate in the 2025 Trade Union Tet Market Program.
Mr. Le Phan Linh - Chairman of the Vietnam National Shipping Lines Trade Union said that the Trade Union of the Corporation will balance the revenue, regular expenditure during the year, the existing accumulated trade union finances, and the Trade Union Social Fund of the Corporation to take care of the Tet holiday for union members and employees according to the allocated number. Based on the number of union members and employees in difficult circumstances, suffering from serious illnesses, long-term hospitalization, serious work accidents (traffic accidents) being treated in the hospital, losing their jobs due to the unit reducing production or restructuring the enterprise sent by the grassroots trade unions for care (up to 10% of the total number of union members the unit is managing) - the support level does not exceed 1,000,000 VND/person.
In particular, the Corporation's Trade Union has directed grassroots trade unions to proactively participate with employers in publicly announcing salary and bonus payment plans at least 30 days before the Lunar New Year holiday; supervising the implementation of salary and bonus payment, working conditions, working hours, rest time, overtime; ensuring adequate benefits for unions and employees who work overtime, work extra hours, and work during Tet.
Mr. Le Thanh Xuan - Member of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Chairman of the Vietnam Coal and Mineral Industries Group (TKV) shared that according to the plan, at the units under the Vietnam Coal and Mineral Industries Group, based on business results and plan completion levels, proactively balance salary sources and reward funds to supplement salaries and reward employees at the rate of 10 million VND/person during the Lunar New Year.
Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Group will allocate from the Parent Company - TKV's Welfare Fund; TKV's Trade Union's finances to support and give Tet gifts to workers in difficult circumstances, low-income families, and outstanding workers. The expenditure includes cash of VND 2 million/person. Of which, the Parent Company - TKV's Welfare Fund will give gifts to 3,000 outstanding workers; TKV's Trade Union's finances will give gifts to 9,587 disadvantaged workers. Tet gift bags worth VND 500,000/bag will be given from the Parent Company - TKV's Welfare Fund to 1,700 workers participating in the Miners' Tet program.
TKV Trade Union will organize the program "Miners' Tet - Celebrating the glorious Party" in 6 regions: Cam Pha, Ha Long, Uong Bi, Thai Nguyen, Tay Bac, Tay Nguyen. TKV Trade Union will present 160 Trade Union Shelters in 2024 worth 12.8 billion VND to Union members and workers at locations where TKV organizes Miners' Tet.
According to TKV Trade Union Chairman Le Thanh Xuan, the expected expenditure from the Parent Company - TKV's Centralized Welfare Fund is 8 billion VND; expenditure from TKV's Trade Union budget is about 22 billion VND.
