As one of 780 outstanding delegates, representing the will, aspirations and intelligence of nearly 10 million trade union members nationwide attending the XIV Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union for the term 2026 - 2031, Mr. Nguyen Ha Xuyen - Chairman of the Vietnam Union of Agriculture and Environment, expressed his honor and pride in being present at the particularly important political event of the Vietnam Trade Union organization.
Attending the Congress, he not only brought personal pride but also clearly felt the great responsibility of the representative for union members and workers in the industry. Each contributed opinion, each content discussed at the Congress is associated with the expectations of workers at the grassroots level, especially cadres, workers, and civil servants who are working day and night in difficult areas.
Mr. Nguyen Ha Xuyen expects the Congress to create new momentum for the trade union organization to continue to innovate strongly, more substantively, closer to union members and better adapt to the new development context of the country.
In the context of deep integration, digital transformation, green transformation and the requirement to improve the quality of human resources, trade union organizations need to be consolidated in a streamlined and effective direction, taking union members and workers as the center of all activities" - Chairman of the Vietnam Agriculture and Environment Trade Union shared.
Mr. Nguyen Ha Xuyen also expects the Congress to have major policies on building a team of professional, dedicated trade union officials with skills in dialogue, negotiation and adaptability to new trends.
For industries with large areas and many workers in difficult areas such as agriculture and environment, he hopes to continue to receive attention to mechanisms and resources to better care for union members and workers.
Along with that, the Congress needs to arouse the belief, spirit of solidarity and aspiration to contribute of the team of workers, civil servants, and laborers nationwide; so that trade unions are truly a solid support for workers in the new development stage of the country.
Implementing Plan 34/KH-TLĐ of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Vietnam Union of Agriculture and Environment has issued Guidance No. 08/HD-CĐN dated December 31, 2025 to affiliated trade union levels on organizing activities to care for union members and workers during the Lunar New Year; The industry union has supported 1,176 union members and workers in the industry in difficult circumstances, suffering from serious illnesses, families with sick relatives for many days, and damaged by storms and floods... on the occasion of the Lunar New Year, each gift worth 1 million VND, with a total support amount of 1.176 billion VND.
The industry union directly organized the "Tet Reunion - Spring Gratitude to the Party" Program in 2026 in 2 Southern and Northern mountainous regions, organized at units under the Vietnam National Coffee Corporation Trade Union, the Central Highlands region, the industry union presented 150 gifts, provided funding to support units to organize "Union Member Meals" for 167 union members and workers, each meal worth 70,000 VND...
On the occasion of Workers' Month, Action Month for Occupational Safety and Health in 2026, the Industry Trade Union has supported 825 gifts for union members and workers in difficult circumstances, suffering from serious illnesses, labor accidents, and provided funding to support "Trade Union Meals" for 600 union members and workers, each meal worth 70,000 VND/person, with a total support amount of 935 million VND. Note: In the first 6 months of the year, the Industry Trade Union has supported over 2,000 union members and workers, with a support amount of over 2.1 billion VND.
