On September 16, the Vietnam Health Trade Union held a conference to commend typical advanced models of the health sector in the 2020-2025 period. The conference was attended by Ms. Thai Thu Xuong - Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Mr. Do Xuan Tuyen - Deputy Minister of Health.
Ms. Pham Thanh Binh - President of the Vietnam Health Trade Union - said that patriotic emulation is a precious tradition of our nation, a strong motivation to help the country overcome countless difficulties and challenges. For the health sector - a special field, full of pressure, risks and sacrifices, the emulation movement is even more meaningful.
It is not only a source of spiritual encouragement, but also a strength to connect the will, solidarity and aspiration to contribute of union members and workers for the health of the people. Over the past 5 years, especially during the difficult period of the COVID-19 pandemic, the team of medical staff has shown a resilient, courageous and dedicated spirit. Many comrades are willing to sacrifice their personal interests to fulfill their noble mission of caring for, protecting and improving public health" - Ms. Pham Thanh Binh emphasized.
According to Ms. Pham Thanh Binh, in recent times, the Vietnam Health Trade Union has always strived to innovate the content and methods of operation; focused on emulation and reward work; promptly discovered and honored outstanding examples. Thanks to that, the emulation movement has spread strongly throughout the industry, with hundreds of collectives, tens of thousands of union members and workers being recognized and rewarded regularly and by topic, launched by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Vietnam Health Trade Union in coordination with the Ministry of Health and related agencies.
Speaking at the conference, Ms. Thai Thu Xuong - Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor - acknowledged that 2020-2025 is a period that demonstrates the will and bravery of the medical team, especially in the years of fierceness when the COVID-19 epidemic is complicated, the team of doctors, officers and medical staff nationwide has become pioneers in the front line of fighting the epidemic. Dozens of doctors, nurses, technicians, and health workers have volunteered, put aside their private happiness, overcome danger, and devote themselves day and night to the health and lives of the people.
I still remember the peak days of the anti-epidemic period, the images of doctors and nurses exhausted after long shifts, the deep grit on their faces because of the mask, or the tears of happiness when patients are discharged from the hospital... have become a beautiful symbol of the spirit of medical salary as from the model, of responsibility and humanity - Ms. Thai Thu Xuong shared.
According to Ms. Thai Thu Xuong, during this period, the Vietnam Health Trade Union has accompanied, encouraged, and organized many practical emulation movements, arousing the spirit of dedication, overcoming difficulties and challenges. On behalf of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Ms. Thai Thu Xuong respectfully acknowledged, commended and congratulated the achievements, efforts and contributions of the Vietnam Health Trade Union and all cadres, union members and workers in the health sector over the past 5 years.
In order to effectively carry out emulation and reward work in the next 5 years, Ms. Thai Thu Xuong suggested that the Vietnam Health Trade Union identify organizing a patriotic emulation movement as an important task of the Vietnam Trade Union, the motto of organizing the movement is "Emulation for innovation, creativity, digital transformation, improving labor productivity, confidently entering a new era with the country". At the same time, it is necessary to specify to clearly see the position, role and responsibility of the Vietnam Health Trade Union, set goals, targets, tasks and solutions associated with the characteristics of the medical industry and effectively implement those tasks in the new context.
In addition, it is necessary to strengthen the leadership and direction of Party committees at all levels, proactively coordinate closely with professional leaders, create conditions and support from leaders of agencies, units, hospitals, schools, especially innovate and combine with private health units and non-public health facilities to create a combined strength to make the emulation movement in the health sector increasingly widespread and comprehensive.
The Vietnam Health Trade Union also needs to continue to strongly innovate the content and methods of organizing emulation movements, improving the effectiveness of core movements such as "Good workers, Creative workers", "Innovation in service style towards patient satisfaction". Promote emulation activities for scientific research, promote initiatives, apply advanced and modern technology and digital transformation in medical activities.
Research, launch, and implement a new emulation movement associated with the political and professional tasks of the health sector and associated with the specific tasks of affiliated grassroots units, it is possible to study a new emulation movement associated with the requirement to improve the quality and qualifications of the team of doctors and medical staff "deep in medicine, good at medicine, rich in medical ethics, and devoted to the profession".
The Vietnam Health Trade Union needs to do a good job of discovering, selecting, honoring, and replicating advanced models through emulation movements; strengthening propaganda and spreading the image of "a kind, responsible, creative doctor" in many diverse and modern forms, from mass media to digital platforms...
The conference honored and commended 6 typical advanced collectives and 141 individuals, including 4 collectives and 30 outstanding advanced individuals who received Certificates of Merit from the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Health Trade Union. On this occasion, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor awarded Certificates of Merit to the Vietnam Health Trade Union and Ms. Pham Thanh Binh - President of the Vietnam Health Trade Union.
