Attending the honoring ceremony were Ms. Thai Thu Xuong - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Mr. Pham Duc Long - Deputy Minister of Science and Technology, Chairman of the Vietnam Science and Technology Trade Union.
Speaking at the honoring ceremony, Mr. Pham Duc Long said that every day, across the country, in every agency, unit, enterprise, research department, factory, construction site..., there are so many people diligently working on their jobs. There are people researching, searching for new solutions and technologies, there are people directly producing and providing services, and there are also people taking on silent tasks behind.
From those jobs, products are created, services are provided, initiatives are formed, problems are solved and new values are created. There are achievements known to many people, but there are also very silent contributions - simply doing better in their work every day.
Mr. Pham Duc Long emphasized that honoring typical workers is respect for the spirit of responsibility, persistence, creativity and self-overcoming awareness of each person. The honored workers are typical examples of that spirit. At the same time, this is a source of inspiration for each worker in the common house of the Vietnam Science and Technology Trade Union to continue to strive, be creative and contribute to their work.
According to Mr. Pham Duc Long, we are living in a period of very rapid change. Science and technology, innovation and digital transformation and artificial intelligence (AI) are changing the way we work, produce and solve problems in practice. Technology can create new tools and working methods, but for those innovations to create value in practice, people are still needed, with responsibility, experience, creativity and spirit of cooperation.
The Vietnam Science and Technology Union identifies one of its core tasks as continuing to care for the lives and protect the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members. At the same time, the Vietnam Science and Technology Union accompanies workers to learn, improve their capacity, master technology and develop in their work," said Mr. Pham Duc Long.
