On September 11, Mr. Phung Thai Quang - Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation (HCF) - said that due to the severe impact of storm No. 3 (typhoon Yagi) and the storm's circulation causing widespread flooding in some northern provinces and cities, the HCM City Labor Federation has called on employees and trade unions at all levels of HCM City to support the people of the North who suffered damage caused by typhoon Yagi and floods.
The Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation calls on all employees and trade unions at all levels of the city to promote the spirit of solidarity, actively respond to the policies of the Party Committee, government and the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels to support the people of the North to overcome difficulties, overcome the consequences of storm No. 3, and soon stabilize their lives.
In the current difficult context, more than ever, the spirit of solidarity of the working class - the vanguard force in the cause of national construction and development - needs to be strongly promoted.
The tradition of "mutual love and support" and "helping each other" of the working class not only shows sharing with compatriots but also strengthens solidarity in the whole society.
Every small action and practical contribution from the city's workers will make an important contribution to helping the people of the North overcome difficulties, while affirming the important role of the working class in building a fair, united and humane society.
“Every heart, every support from employees and trade unions at all levels of the city will bring great meaning, contributing to helping our compatriots in the North overcome this difficult period. Let us together promote the spirit of solidarity, mutual love, and share the losses to help our compatriots quickly recover and return to normal life,” the appeal of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation emphasized.
Along with that, the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation also requested that trade unions at all levels quickly grasp the situation of union members and workers whose families and relatives suffered damage caused by the storm; proactively visit, encourage and share with union members and workers affected.
In particular, it is necessary to pay close attention to families whose loved ones have died, gone missing or been injured, and promptly care for and visit them. At the same time, trade unions at all levels need to report and propose to higher-level trade unions to have practical support policies for cases facing special difficulties, in order to help people quickly overcome the consequences and soon stabilize their lives.
