Paying a salary of 15 million VND/month, businesses still find it difficult to recruit enough workers

Despite offering a salary of up to 15 million VND/month and good remuneration, businesses still face difficulties in recruiting enough labor to meet production needs.

Businesses expand production, recruitment demand increases

Although production is maintained stably and many businesses are planning to expand their scale, labor shortages in Can Tho City continue to occur.

At JIA ZHI Co., Ltd., Mr. Nguyen Van Canh - Chairman of the Grassroots Trade Union (CĐCS) - said that the enterprise is planning to expand its scale to about 700-800 workers, and may even exceed the 1,000-person mark when completing more factories.

However, the personnel problem is becoming a pressure when businesses lack labor, while production demand is increasing. Currently, the company has to organize overtime to ensure order progress, thereby helping workers' income increase by more than 1 million VND/month depending on the position.

The salary paid by this company currently ranges from about 6-8 million VND/month for stable workers, after deducting insurance. "The most difficult thing is the lack of stable labor, many people tend to move between businesses or work in other provinces" - Mr. Canh said.

Similarly, Tri - Viet International Co., Ltd. is also planning to expand production to Vinh Long province because the factory in Can Tho has reached maximum capacity. This enterprise is expected to recruit about 200 workers in the second quarter, including 70 workers in Can Tho and more than 100 workers in Vinh Long.

According to Mr. Quach Minh Thao - Chairman of the Company's Trade Union, the current recruitment source is quite abundant, but mainly unskilled labor, while skilled labor is scarce.

Previously, after the Lunar New Year 2026, the enterprise also recorded a labor fluctuation rate of about 10%, equivalent to about 100 people quitting, although it still ensured production thanks to timely recruitment.

Meanwhile, Indian Ocean One Member Limited Liability Company (Thot Not Industrial Park, Can Tho City) also announced the recruitment of a large number of workers with income ranging from 7-15 million VND/month depending on position and productivity.

The factory recruits a variety of jobs from unskilled workers to college and university graduates for positions such as Fillet, Sculptor, seasonal workers, and some technical and QC positions.

In addition to salary, workers are entitled to full insurance benefits and many allowances such as hazardous duty allowances, support for female workers, travel allowances and productivity bonuses.

National job exchange aims to synchronously connect the labor market

In the context of businesses facing difficulties in recruitment, the National Job Exchange (online) is being built by the Ministry of Home Affairs, aiming to become a unified digital platform connecting labor supply and demand nationwide.

Mr. Tran Tuan Tu - Head of the Unemployment Insurance Department, Department of Employment (Ministry of Home Affairs) - said that the exchange not only serves to connect jobs, but also aims to form an ecosystem that covers the entire working life cycle.

According to Mr. Tu, the system will integrate from vocational training, job search, career development to accessing social security policies, helping workers and businesses easily connect information.

It is expected that from April 14, the exchange will officially test run, thereby gradually completing the operating mechanism, data management and connection between the public-private employment service system, businesses and employees.

Faced with the labor shortage situation, businesses in Can Tho are simultaneously implementing many solutions to retain and attract workers.

At JIA ZHI Co., Ltd., the business both increases production shifts and expands many recruitment channels such as job service centers, social networks (Zalo, Facebook, TikTok) and internal introduction channels. At the same time, unskilled workers are still received and retrained before signing official contracts.

Tri - Viet International Co., Ltd. applies a productivity money support policy for new workers to encourage attachment. The enterprise also increases overtime by 12 hours/week to improve income, helping workers achieve an average of 7-10 million VND/month, depending on productivity.
