On the morning of August 19, the Hanoi City Labor Federation coordinated to organize a scholarship awarding program for children of workers in difficult circumstances who have overcome difficulties to study well in the area.
50 scholarships for the 2025-2026 school year have been awarded from the sponsorship of the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam (Vietcombank) through the Golden Heart Social Charity Fund (Vietnam General Confederation of Labor).
Speaking at the program, Mr. Nguyen Huy Khanh - Vice President of the Hanoi City Labor Federation - expressed his gratitude to Vietcombank and the Golden Heart Social Charity Fund for accompanying and promptly supporting the children of union members and workers in difficult circumstances.
Mr. Nguyen Huy Khanh said that over the years, the City Labor Federation and trade unions at all levels have always paid attention to and cared for children of union members, workers, and civil servants, especially those in difficult circumstances.
Activities such as giving scholarships, giving school supplies... both encourage spirit and partially support study costs, and share difficulties with families.
Representing the beneficiary, Mr. Pham Cao Thang - Deputy General Director, Chairman of the Trade Union of Hanoi Urban Environment Company Limited - said that the company has more than 4,800 employees in 19 member units, with the nature of heavy and toxic work while income is still low compared to the general level.
The company's trade union has made efforts to take care of the lives and regularly supported workers in difficult circumstances, suffering from serious illnesses, and policy families, with a total budget of about 575 million VND per year.
He expressed his emotion and thanked the Hanoi City Labor Federation, Vietcombank and the Golden Heart Social Charity Fund for their concern and support with workers and laborers; contributing to opening up better opportunities for the future of children.
