On the morning of June 24, the Bac Giang Provincial Federation of Labor held the 7th Executive Committee meeting (18th tenure), summarizing the work of the trade union in the first 6 months of 2025, and deploying tasks for the last 6 months of 2025.
Mr. Nguyen Van Canh - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Bac Giang Provincial Labor Federation; Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung - Permanent Vice President of the Bac Giang Provincial Labor Federation; Vice Presidents: Le Duc Tho, Nguyen Thi Thu Huong chaired the conference.
Presenting the draft report on the preliminary review of trade unions in the first 6 months of the year, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Huong - Vice President of the Bac Giang Provincial Federation of Labor said that in the first 6 months of the year, the Bac Giang Provincial Federation of Labor has directed trade unions at all levels to actively participate in developing and implementing grassroots democracy regulations; coordinate in organizing conferences for civil servants, public employees, and labor conferences in 2025.
To date, 1,108/1,108 100% of public administrative agencies and units have organized conferences for cadres, civil servants and public employees; 606/714 (84.9%) of enterprises with trade unions have organized conferences for workers. 100% of trade unions in the administrative, career and business sectors coordinate with professional leaders and users to promulgate and implement grassroots democracy regulations.
The Provincial Federation of Labor directs trade unions at all levels to improve the quality of dialogue and collective bargaining to bring many benefits to union members and workers. 606/714 (84.9%) of enterprises have conducted negotiations, amended, supplemented, and signed collective labor agreements. Of which, enterprises have organized dialogues with 714/714 (reaching 100%); 8 enterprises have signed new Collective Labor Agreements.
In addition, legal consultation activities for union members and workers continue to be of interest to the Provincial Labor Federation. The Provincial Federation of Labor has provided direct consultation at 23 enterprises and 15 worker dormitories to over 20,000 workers; phone consultation, legal answers through the monthly Trade Union Television section; online consultation through the Provincial Federation of Labor's Electronic Information Portal...
The Provincial Federation of Labor also directed trade unions at all levels to effectively implement the Welfare Program for union members and workers; over 30,000 union members and workers have been able to buy discounted products from partners that the Provincial Federation of Labor has signed cooperation agreements, with a benefit value of over 1.8 billion VND.
In the first 6 months of the year, responding to the emulation movement "Joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide in 2025", the Provincial Federation of Labor organized the inauguration of 3 houses, with a total support of 200 million VND; supported the construction of 35 new houses for poor and near-poor households with a total amount of 2.1 billion VND.
Since the beginning of the year, the Provincial Federation of Labor has supported the construction of 17 "Union Shelters" for union members with difficult housing circumstances, with support levels ranging from 25 million VND to 40 million VND, a total of 605 million VND (of which 6 female union members were supported with housing construction funds from the "Union Shelter" fund, with a total amount of 240 million VND).
