Attending the program were Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Permanent representative, Standing Committee of the Nghe An Provincial Confederation of Labor and nearly 400 union officials, union members and workers.
The training session aims to strengthen propaganda and dissemination of knowledge and laws on drug prevention and control, at the same time promote the role and enhance the responsibility of trade unions at all levels in drug prevention and control; mobilize a large number of workers to participate in drug prevention and control activities.
At the program, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Ngo Duy Hieu thoroughly explained the Law on Drug Prevention and Control, the situation of drug crimes and social evils in Vietnam; the current situation of drug addicts, methods, tricks, and activities of drug criminals; some skills and techniques in propaganda work on crime and drug prevention and control.
Providing images that warn about the harmful effects of drugs and drug addiction helps union members and workers to be aware of the consequences of drugs on their health, the health of workers and society.
In the responsibility of drug prevention and control, the Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor requested that trade unions at all levels need to organize and coordinate with competent agencies to propagate and disseminate knowledge and laws on drug prevention and control among the people; mobilize people to participate in drug prevention and control and carry out drug prevention and control movements.
Coordinate with local authorities at all levels and competent agencies to mobilize drug addicts to implement drug addiction treatment measures, treat addiction to opium-like substances with substitution drugs; participate in rehabilitating, educating, providing vocational training, finding jobs and helping people after drug rehabilitation to integrate into the community; prevent and combat drug relapse.
The program was livestreamed on the website and fanpage of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; fanpage of the Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation to spread useful messages and knowledge about drug prevention to a large number of cadres and workers nationwide.
