On the evening of November 12, reigning Miss Vietnam Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy was crowned Miss International 2024, taking place in Tokyo, Japan.
This is the first representative of Vietnam to win the crown at this prestigious contest. The previous highest achievement belonged to Thuy Van (3rd runner-up in 2015).
The interesting thing about this year's beauty pageant season is that for the first time in history, two Miss Vietnams are participating in international competitions at the same time.
Besides Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy, Miss Vietnam 2014 Nguyen Cao Ky Duyen is also participating in Miss Universe in Mexico and is reaching the final stages.
The contest Ky Duyen is participating in is scheduled to hold the semi-finals on November 15 and the final on November 17, Vietnam time.
Many people have faith in Ky Duyen, believing that with careful preparation over the years, she has a high chance of achieving good results at Miss Universe this year.
The audience also asked an interesting question: "If Miss Vietnam Thanh Thuy only prepared for two years and was able to win an international competition, what achievements would a Miss Vietnam who prepared for ten years (Ky Duyen) achieve?"

The diversity in organization and evaluation criteria is also what makes international beauty contests attractive.

Thanh Thuy made many miracles, as the first Vietnamese contestant to be crowned Miss International. Among the three beauties in the top 3 of Miss Vietnam 2022, in addition to Thanh Thuy, 2nd runner-up Le Nguyen Ngoc Hang also participated in Miss Intercontinental and achieved high results with the overall 2nd runner-up achievement.
