Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Huynh Thanh Xuan presented the Project "Orientation of foreign information work of Vietnam Trade Union in the new situation".

The 8th Conference of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (13th tenure) on December 5 took place under the chairmanship of Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang - Member of the Party Central Committee, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL).

One of the notable points of the Project is to create a breakthrough, promote and improve the effectiveness of using digital media platforms, social media (such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc.); apply digital technology to gradually transform from traditional methods to a combination of direct and online, virtual reality with new media technologies in the future; promote the implementation of Infographics and other forms of visual information about important foreign affairs activities of the country, of the Vietnam Trade Union, of key leaders of the Party, State, and Vietnam Trade Union.

Regarding this issue, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Hien - Member of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Editor-in-Chief of Lao Dong Newspaper - said that in order to inform about activities, including those of the Trade Union organization abroad, from August 14, Lao Dong Newspaper has had an English page. What is special is that the English page completely uses AI technology, which can simultaneously translate content into over 100 languages. When it was first put into use, it was necessary to have someone proofread and "teach" the AI some words. But at this time, out of 50 articles, only 1 article needs word editing, and in that article, there are only 1-2 words that need to be edited.

In addition, Mr. Hien also suggested that the overseas working delegations of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor should create conditions for reporters of Lao Dong Newspaper to accompany them in order to widely and deeply propagate the activities.

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc An - Chairman of the Vietnam Education Trade Union - suggested using bilateral and multilateral dialogue methods. Based on the experience of foreign exchange delegations of the Vietnam Education Trade Union, Mr. An said that this is a very effective way of propaganda.

According to the President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Nguyen Dinh Khang, it is necessary to prepare for upgrading publications in English as well as Japanese, Korean, Lao, and Spanish. Open economic markets are also open markets for trade union activities. The President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor also proposed to study the 7 orientations of Vietnam's rising era to apply to trade union activities.

Innovation and improvement of the effectiveness of the external information work of the Vietnam Trade Union is an urgent task to meet the need for information about Vietnam, the activities of the Vietnam Trade Union and to refute false public information about Vietnam in general and the Vietnam Trade Union organization in particular.
