Implementing Joint Plan No. 16/KHLT/TLD-LDBDVN-BTT dated August 6, 2024 between the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Vietnam Football Federation and Tuoi Tre Newspaper, the 2024 Vietnam Workers' and Civil Servants' Football Tournament was organized to create a healthy playground for workers and civil servants nationwide.
Quang Ninh Provincial Federation of Labor has established a Quang Ninh Trade Union football team with 25 members from more than 10 grassroots trade unions to participate in the tournament.
In the Northern regional qualifying round from October 18 to 20, 2024, the team performed excellently and entered the top 4 teams participating in the national finals.
In the final round taking place from November 1 to 3, 2024 in Hanoi, with the spirit of discipline and solidarity, the Quang Ninh Trade Union football team excellently won the championship of the 2024 Vietnam Workers and Civil Servants Football Tournament.
At the ceremony, the Quang Ninh Provincial Federation of Labor organized a ceremony to commend and award certificates of merit from the Provincial Federation of Labor Executive Committee to individuals who contributed to the success of the team.
Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Duy - Head coach of the team - shared: "The success of the team is thanks to the spirit of solidarity and discipline. Entering the final round, with a tight schedule, we have calculated to ensure the physical strength of the players in important matches.
During the training and competition, there was always encouragement and support from the Provincial Federation of Labor. The Provincial Federation of Labor worked with the agencies and units where the players worked to arrange time to practice with the team. Having more time to practice together helps the players understand each other, play well together, creating the strength of the team."
Also at the event, the Quang Ninh Trade Union Football Team presented the ball and championship trophy to the Quang Ninh Provincial Federation of Labor. These artifacts will be displayed at the Provincial Federation of Labor's Memorial Room, marking the team's glorious victory.
