Since the beginning of August, Vinh Long has launched 3 grassroots trade unions (CDCS) at Vinh Hung Textile Co., Ltd., Duyen Hai Wind Power Joint Stock Company and YU YUAN VN Co., Ltd., with a total of 295 union members.
The establishment of the grassroots trade union is not only a plan, but also an important turning point, demonstrating the concern of the Vietnam Trade Union in caring for and protecting the legitimate and legal rights of workers.
Ms. Pham Thi Xuan Trang - Chairwoman of the Trade Union of Vinh Hung Textile and Garment Company Limited, said that this is an opportunity for workers to have a common voice, together protect their rights and build a better working environment.
"I hope to become a bridge between workers and the board of directors, promptly resolving difficulties and problems," Ms. Trang added.
Mr. Vo Hoang Anh Khoa - Chairman of the Trade Union of Duyen Hai Wind Power Joint Stock Company, said that the Trade Union helps workers like him feel more secure at work, ensuring that their rights are enforced in accordance with the law and creating a fair and democratic environment.
As for Ms. Nguyen Thi Thao - Chairwoman of the Trade Union of YU YUAN VN Company Limited, emphasized: "The Trade Union is a big step forward, bringing a strong organization to rely on, organizing practical activities to improve the spiritual and material life of workers".
The launch of new grassroots trade unions marks an important step forward, contributing to building a strong workforce, improving the material and spiritual life of union members.
Speaking with Lao Dong, Mr. Nguyen Phuc Linh, Chairman of the Vinh Long Provincial Federation of Labor, said: The Provincial Federation of Labor emphasizes on cadres, workers and enterprises to propagate and mobilize workers to join trade unions and organize practical activities, raising awareness of the rights, obligations and roles of trade unions.
According to Mr. Linh, to achieve the goal, the Provincial Federation of Labor should promote the promotion of the role and rights of union members, coordinate with businesses and localities to create favorable conditions for grassroots trade unions to operate.
The Federation will train and foster the new Executive Committee of the grassroots trade union, helping to grasp the Charter and laws, operate effectively, and protect the rights of workers.
In addition to the enterprise's grassroots trade union, the Vinh Long Labor Federation plans to establish commune and ward trade unions, expanding care for workers, especially in the informal sector.
"I believe that with the consensus and determination of the entire system, the work of developing union members and grassroots unions in the province will achieve important achievements, contributing to building a strong and developed labor community," added the Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor.
