On the occasion of "Workers' Month" in 2025, May 24, in Ha Long City, Quang Ninh Province, a meeting and dialogue conference was held between provincial leaders and cadres, workers, civil servants, and employees (CBCNVC, NLD).
Presiding over the dialogue, there were grandparents: Trinh Thi Minh Thanh, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Pham Duc An, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Vu Quyet Tien, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Hong Duong, Head of Propaganda Department and Provincial Party Committee; To Xuan Thao, Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation (Labor Federation).
The conference was attended by 500 cadres, union members, and employees from agencies, units, and enterprises in the province.
Before entering the program, the delegates observed a minute of silence to commemorate former President Tran Duc Luong.
In recent times, closely following the direction of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the Provincial Party Committee - Provincial People's Committee, the Quang Ninh Provincial Federation of Labor has widely implemented many emulation movements among employees and employees.
Typical movements include: "Good workers, creative workers"; "Outstanding advanced workers"; "Cultural standard agencies, units, and enterprises"; "Good at public work, good at home work"; "Green - Clean - Beautiful, ensuring occupational safety and hygiene"...
The movements are associated with studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style, emphasizing caring for, protecting union members' rights and promoting business development.
From these movements, thousands of initiatives, experiences and solutions have been honored. In 2024 alone, there were over 4,600 initiatives, solutions, and topics recognized with a total value of over 48 billion VND; 145 emulation works and products were recognized with a value of over 8 billion VND.
The province has commended and rewarded 2,500 outstanding union members and workers and recognized the title of "Cultural standard agency, unit, and enterprise" for 1,012 units in the period of 2022 - 2023.
At the conference, there were 12 opinions from cadres, union members, and workers sent to the provincial leaders, focusing on many issues such as: recruitment and development of human resources in industrial parks; ensuring labor safety, security and order; public transportation for workers; social housing; health care, preventing dirty food in collective kitchens; developing the Project "Developing labor relations in Quang Ninh province" for the period 2026 - 2030...
The provincial leaders and departments and branches directly answered and clarified the recommendations, and affirmed: Quang Ninh always allocates adequate resources to develop technical infrastructure, creating favorable conditions for businesses and employees to develop; has issued many mechanisms and policies to protect the legitimate rights and interests of employees.
To overcome the shortcomings and limitations raised by workers, provincial leaders requested that businesses increase propaganda and disseminate labor safety; pay attention to environmental sanitation; coordinate with functional forces to protect workers' rights.
Concluding the conference, Mr. Pham Duc An, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, requested Party committees and authorities at all levels to continue to enhance their responsibility in caring for and building a strong team of workers and employees, promoting the pioneering role in the province's innovation and development.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized: Departments, branches and localities need to proactively advise and promptly resolve legal and legitimate petitions of employees and enterprises, especially those that have not been answered at the conference; accompany enterprises through working groups to support startups and digital transformation; arrange budgets to support machinery investment, research on science and technology applications; coordinate in training high-quality human resources in the fields of technology and digital.
Along with that, trade unions at all levels continue to promote their role as representatives and protectors of the rights of union members and workers; improve the material and spiritual life; proactively dialogue and coordinate to resolve issues related to employment, housing, income, social insurance, health care, cultural activities, nurseries; prevent problems from arising that cause long-term problems that cause concern; strengthen security and order in industrial parks, enterprises with a large number of workers...
On this occasion, Quang Ninh province presented 50 gifts to workers in difficult circumstances in the area.
