Prioritize accumulating experience
Mr. Nguyen Quoc Binh (21 years old, Cau Giay ward, Hanoi) - a 3rd year student majoring in marketing - said that he used to work as a waiter for a coffee shop in the first year. However, from his 2nd year of university, Mr. Quoc Binh switched to working as a content collaborator for a small business. His job is to create content for articles, support the production of images and communication products...
My income is about 3-5 million VND/month, depending on work productivity. This job helps me more because I can directly write articles, manage pages or participate in building content for communication campaigns. Thanks to that, I can both study at school and practice applying it in practice," Mr. Quoc Binh shared.
Similarly, Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Phuong (21 years old, Lang ward, Hanoi) - a student majoring in International Business, Foreign Trade University - said that in the first 2 years of university, she actively planned her studies and found part-time jobs related to her major.
According to Ms. Phuong, instead of choosing general jobs to have quick income, she focuses on applying for the position of collaborator who both supports and studies at the company in the document and international transaction process stages.
Ms. Minh Phuong shared: "Initially, I felt worried because I didn't have much experience. But in the process of working, I gradually learned from my colleagues, and now I am more familiar with the job. My goal is to accumulate a lot of practical experience so that when I graduate, I am not surprised and can meet all the requirements of businesses.
Balance between studying and work
The trend of students looking for part-time jobs in the right major shows a change in thinking, when learners not only focus on learning knowledge but also aim for long-term value. This is considered a necessary preparation step in the current recruitment situation.
Currently working as a collaborator for a press agency, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hai Duong (22 years old, Van Mieu ward - Quoc Tu Giam, Hanoi) - a 4th year student at the Academy of Journalism and Propaganda - shared that working and studying at the same time during this period makes her almost have no free time.

Ms. Hai Duong started collaborating from the 3rd year and quickly got acquainted with the intensity of work, the work at the editorial office and a lot of practical experiences.
There are days when I go to work from morning, in the afternoon I study at school, in the evening I continue to study more certificates and complete the work at the editorial office. The biggest pressure is balancing time, if I don't control it well, I can't guarantee the effectiveness of the work," Ms. Hai Duong said.
Despite the pressure, Ms. Hai Duong believes that having a job in the right major right from the beginning of school is an important opportunity for students to practice and improve their professional skills, and learn more necessary soft skills in the working environment.
Meanwhile, Ms. Quan Thanh Thu (22 years old, Lang ward, Hanoi) - a 4th year student majoring in Law - once went through a "overload" period when receiving many jobs at the same time.
In addition to studying in class and preparing for the graduation thesis, Ms. Thanh Thu also registered to work part-time at a law firm with the job of legal assistant, participating in drafting documents, preparing documents. The large workload often makes Ms. Thanh Thu fall into a state of fatigue.
After the above period, Ms. Thanh Thu took the initiative to take a break for a while to rebalance between studying and work. "I realized that it's not about doing as much as possible, the important thing is to choose a suitable job and know how to balance. Going to work early not only helps me accumulate experience but also knows how to balance time, know what I need to pay attention to before officially going to work," Ms. Thanh Thu said.
