On the afternoon of October 23, the People's Committee of Bac Lieu province organized a workshop on digital transformation of Bac Lieu province in 2024 with the theme "Universalizing digital infrastructure and innovating digital applications to develop the digital economy - New driving force for economic growth and labor productivity".
Speaking at the workshop, Mr. Pham Van Thieu - Chairman of Bac Lieu Provincial People's Committee - said that this is also an opportunity for all levels, sectors and units to better understand the role, necessity and importance of digital transformation, and have a more comprehensive view of digital infrastructure, digital data and information security.
From there, change the mindset and awareness in innovation, creativity, applying models, applications, digital transformation platforms to the operations of agencies, units, and enterprises, while promoting people to actively participate and use digital platforms... towards effectively implementing digital transformation based on three pillars: Digital Government, Digital Society and Digital Economy in Bac Lieu province in the coming time.
At the workshop, delegates were presented by experts with solutions, experiences and digital transformation models that bring efficiency to agencies, units, people and businesses...
Bac Lieu province has coordinated with the Ministry of Information and Communications to conduct digital transformation and digital skills training for more than 700 officials, civil servants, and public employees; and more than 2,000 members of the Community Digital Technology Group.
Up to now, in Bac Lieu province, 100% of enterprises have paid taxes electronically; 100% of public preschools, kindergartens, junior high schools, and high schools; 100% of medical examination and treatment facilities in the province have deployed non-cash payment methods to collect fees for education and health services; and over 70% of social allowances have been paid through accounts.
