Apple has just adjusted the price of the high-end Studio Display XDR screen by reducing 400 USD (equivalent to about 10.2 million VND), for the version using VESA jack, and refunding the difference to customers who bought before.
Studio Display XDR was launched in March 2026 to replace Pro Display XDR, targeting professional users in the fields of design, film editing and image processing. The product is highly appreciated for its display quality, but the starting price of 3, 299 USD, equivalent to about 84.1 million VND, was once considered a major barrier for users.
After adjustment, Apple lowered the price of some configurations below the 3,000 USD mark, with the version using VESA jack being 2,899 USD (equivalent to about 73.9 million VND), while the nano-texture glass version is priced at 3, 199 USD (about 81.6 million VND).
This reduction only applies to the VESA jack version, while versions with tilt or altitude adjustment stands still retain the price of 3, 299 USD and 3, 599 USD respectively.
In the Vietnamese market, according to Apple's official sales page, Studio Display XDR VESA jacket version is priced from 89,999,000 VND for standard glass and 97,999,000 VND for nano-texture glass, showing that the actual price is significantly higher than converted from the international market due to taxes and distribution costs.
Previously, Apple sold VESA jackets and adjusted stand versions at the same starting price, causing many users to think that choosing VESA jackets is less attractive due to lack of flexibility, while buyers are still forced to choose one of the two options when ordering. This price adjustment helps to better distinguish between the two configurations, reflecting the true usage value of each version.
Some users who detected early changes said that Apple has proactively refunded the price difference in the order, showing that the company not only applies the new price to the current order but also ensures the rights of customers who buy near the adjustment time.
Notably, the standard Studio Display line was not price adjusted this time, because Apple had previously applied different prices between the VESA jack version and the base version, so no similar controversy arose as on the XDR line.
