This feature is powered by Apple Intelligence, helping users manage notifications more efficiently by prioritizing important ones and minimizing less important ones.
Priority notifications will appear in a separate area on the lock screen. Apple Intelligence will automatically analyze and select which notification should be displayed here, but users can still swipe up to see the entire notification as normal.
Currently, the iPhone arranges notifications in order of time, with the latest warnings displayed above. However, with the new feature, important notifications will always be prioritized, even if they are sent before other notifications.
According to 9to5 Mac, the priority notification will be turned off by default. To activate this feature, users need to go to the Settings application, select notices, then access Prioritize Notifications and activate this option.
