The decision to temporarily transfer and appoint Mr. Vu Van Tich - Director of the Academy of Science, Technology and Innovation (DMST) to hold the position of Deputy Director of the Academy of Science, Technology and Technology Strategy; the decision to transfer and appoint Mr. Tran Van Nghia - Deputy Director of the Academy of Science, Technology and Technology to hold the position of Deputy Director of the Academy of Science, Technology and Technology Strategy.
The decision to temporarily transfer and appoint Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong Giang - Editor-in-Chief of Vietnam Science and Technology Magazine to hold the position of Deputy Director of the Academy of Science and Technology Strategy and was assigned to concurrently be the Editor-in-Chief of Vietnam Science and Technology Magazine until another decision was made; The decision to temporarily transfer and appoint Mr. Tran Minh Tan - Deputy Director of the Institute of Information and Communications Strategy to hold the position of Deputy Director of the Academy of Science and Technology Strategy and was assigned to concurrently be the Director of the Strategy Institute.
Decision on transferring and appointing Mr. Nguyen Tuan Khai - Director of the Department of radiation and Nuclear Safety to hold the position of Deputy Director of the Vietnam nuclear Energy Institute; Decision on assigning the Acting Director of the Department of radiation and Nuclear Safety to Mr. Nguyen Hoang Linh - Deputy Director of the Department of radiation and Nuclear Safety; Decision on extending the term of office of Deputy Director of the Vietnam nuclear Energy Institute for Mr. Pham Quang Minh from August 1, 2025 until retirement age according to regulations.
Speaking at the Ceremony, Minister Nguyen Manh Hung said that the Academy of Strategy and Science and Technology currently has more than 6 affiliated units, including 2 strategic institutes, 2 training - fostering facilities, 2 magazines and a number of professional centers. With a scale 6 times higher than before, the Academy's mission has also been upgraded, even increased by 6 to 10 times. If operated effectively, the Academy still has a lot of room for development. The Minister emphasized that the policy of the Standing Committee is for the Academy's Directors to focus on leadership and governance, creating an appropriate environment and mechanism for units to operate independently, thereby identifying and fostering good leaders.
The Minister affirmed that science and technology, technology and digital transformation are becoming the three main pillars in the country's development. This leads to an increasing demand for training knowledge and skills in these three fields, from the commune level to the ministerial and sectoral level. Therefore, training work must be substantial and practical, helping learners to effectively apply it in practice.
Vietnam Science and Technology Magazine also carries a great mission as not only a scientific journal, but also a specialized journal on science and Technology, technology and digital transformation. The magazine needs to have in-depth articles, theoretical papers associated with research, institutions, policies and disseminate practical experiences to society.
The Minister requested the Director of the Academy to fulfill his leadership and governance roles well, uniting the team to jointly complete the new mission. This is a big challenge for comrade Pham Dinh Nguyen - Director of the Academy, but the Minister believes: "The big challenge will create great energy, the difficult will no longer be difficult if we are determined to do it"...
