Mr. Phan Xuan Dung - Chairman of the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations affirmed that the organization of the 5th Patriotic Emulation Congress of the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations is an important milestone affirming a new development step of the patriotic emulation movement and the emulation and reward work of the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations, demonstrating the continuation, promotion of good traditions and outstanding achievements and results in the recent period.
The Congress is tasked with objectively assessing the achieved results, clarifying shortcomings and weaknesses and proposing remedial measures, identifying goals, directions, tasks and main solutions to carry out emulation and reward work in the coming time.
At the same time, providing valuable lessons, good practices, and new creative models to replicate, making the emulation movement of the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations more and more practical, effective, and quality, truly an important driving force to excellently complete assigned tasks, meeting the requirements of the country's construction and development in the period of entering a new era - the era of national growth.
Speaking at the Congress, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department Huynh Thanh Dat highly appreciated the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations for their good performance in emulation and reward work over the past 5 years.
Emulation movements have been actively responded to and implemented, extensively, focusing on campaigns launched by the Central Government, the Government, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front such as: "The whole country joins hands for the poor - no one is left behind", "The whole country joins hands to build new rural areas", "eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses", "For the border, sea and islands", "Cadres, civil servants, and public employees compete to implement office culture"...
Patriotic emulation movements are organized methodically, in a disciplined manner, with specific and practical content, associated with important and urgent political tasks and tasks, so they have spread widely among all classes of people, cadres, party members, and intellectuals.
Patriot emulation movements have contributed to arousing and promoting the traditional values of Vietnamese intellectuals. The intellectuals honored today are working with the intellectual team nationwide to make science and technology an important productive force for the construction and development of the country into a new era" - Mr. Huynh Thanh Dat said.

At the 5th Patriotic Emulation Congress, the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations awarded Certificates of Merit to 75 outstanding collectives and individuals who have had outstanding achievements in the emulation movement of solidarity, creativity, innovation, and improving the quality of activities in the period of 2020-2025, contributing to the development of the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations. On this occasion, the Presidium of the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations launched an emulation movement in the period of 2025 - 2030.
