After being introduced at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in June, Apple officially released macOS Tahoe, the latest operating system update for Mac devices.
This upgrade brings a series of important improvements, from a modern interface design to the ability to integrate more deeply with the iPhone, while taking advantage of the power of Apple Intelligence to enhance the user experience.
Interface, loose design language Liquid Glass
The biggest highlight on macOS Tahoe is the loose design style of Liquid Glass, which brings a sophisticated interface with transparent coatings, matte colors and many new personalized options.
Users can change the color of the application icon, add an emoction icon or symbol to the directory, and enjoy the new theme wallpaper collection. The Control Center also allows you to reset the buttons to access common settings faster.
Smarter working process
spotlight Search has been upgraded, operating as a quick-to-operate center.
Users can send an email, create a calendar event or preview the file right in the search results, without opening an application.
The shortcut application is more closely integrated with Apple Intelligence, helping to automate repetitive tasks. In addition, the update also adds direct text and audio translations, along with creative tools such as Genmoji or Image Playground to express individuals in many new ways.
Connecting Mac & iPhone more seamlessly
Apple continues to strengthen the ecosystem by improving connectivity between Macs and iPhones.
Activities such as flight tracking, delivery updates or timers from the iPhone can now be displayed directly on the Mac menu bar
The Phone app on macOS Tahoe has also been enhanced, providing more powerful call management with quick access to the Recent List, Favorites, and message boxes.
How to update macOS Tahoe
Users can update through the following steps:
- Select the Apple menu in the top corner of the screen.
- Go to System Settings > Chung > Software Update.
- When macOS Tahoe appears, click Immediate Update and enter the administrative password.
- Avoid turning off the device or leaving the device in sleep mode during the installation process.
Before upgrading, Apple recommends that users back up data with Time machine or external drive.
Some features, especially Apple Intelligence and the enhanced iPhone Continuity, require new generation Mac hardware, so older devices may only receive a portion of the improvement.
With macOS Tahoe, Apple not only renews the interface experience but also brings smart tools to help work more efficiently, while increasing connectivity in the ecosystem.
This is considered one of the most notable Mac operating system updates in recent years.
