"Solarium" interface: New breath inspired by visionOS
macOS Tahoe will wear a completely new look called "Solarium", inspired by the visionOS interface. This design focuses on minimalist, unified and modern, with rounded, dynamic symbols and smooth transition effects. The new interface promises to bring a more intuitive experience and closely connect with other ecosystems such as iOS and VisionOS.
Apple Intelligence: Siri becomes smarter than ever
Artificial Intelligence continues to be an important highlight in macOS Tahoe. Siri will be significantly upgraded with better context understanding, natural feedback and support for many smart tasks. New AI tools such as Clean Up and Freeform Scenes will also be deeply integrated into the system, serving both work and content creation.
New scoring system: synchronized with the issuance year
Apple will take a different operating system naming year, starting this year. Accordingly, macOS Tahoe can also be called "macOS 2025", to synchronize with iOS 2025, iPadOS 2025 and other platforms. This is an effort to simplify how users track and remember operating system versions.
Compatibility: Mac Intel out of the game?
With a comprehensive shift to Apple Silicon, macOS Tahoe will likely no longer support devices using Intel chips. According to leaked sources, devices like the 2018 MacBook Pro will not be on the updated list, giving way to models from the M1 and above - which are optimized for AI performance and a new interface.
When can users experience it?
macOS Tahoe will be officially introduced at the WWDC event on June 10 (Vietnam time). The developer beta is expected to be released soon, while the official version will be available to users in the fall of 2025.
