Claude - chatbot developed by Anthropic can now create and edit designs directly on the Canva platform, thanks to the integration between the two sides via a server using the Model Context Protocol (MCP) protocol. With this tool, users can ask Claude to create a design or search for resources right in their Canva workspace.
The new feature requires users to register for the Claude payment plan, while access also depends on the type of Canva account they own.
More and more AI platforms are adopting MCP to connect their models with external applications. This protocol was introduced by Anthropic in November last year.
Anthropic is also launching a directory listing all platforms that are using MCP technology, allowing users to explore and access remote services as well as local applications that can connect to Claude. However, remote connections still require subscription. With this expansion, Claude will likely continue to appear on many third-party platforms in the coming time.
