The Innovation Festival (Techfest Cao Bang 2024) is a prominent event, attracting the attention of many businesses and organizations from 15 provinces and cities in the Northern Midlands and Mountains region.
The event took place within the framework of the 19th Science and Technology Conference co-organized by the People's Committee of Cao Bang province and the Ministry of Science and Technology.
The festival is considered an opportunity to connect, promote and foster cooperation between businesses, especially in the field of innovative startups.
With 50 booths, the event is a place to display OCOP products, local specialties such as dried bamboo shoots, fragrant sticky rice, shiitake mushrooms, Chinese sausage, black jelly, and many other agricultural products, and also introduce technology products.
Some booths offer unique experiences such as digital citizen experiences and virtual reality, helping citizens and visitors have a closer look at the application of technology in daily life.
In addition to introducing products, the event also creates opportunities for exchange and connection between businesses, cooperatives, and research organizations. This not only helps expand the product consumption network in the region but also creates conditions to promote exports, contributing to increasing the value of local products.
Applied research and development institutes, along with companies in the mineral and metallurgical sectors, were also present to exchange and cooperate.
According to Mr. Trinh Truong Huy - Vice Chairman of Cao Bang Provincial People's Committee, the locality has been focusing on innovation activities, however, the socio-economic efficiency is not high.
Mr. Huy emphasized the need to enhance innovation capacity and apply achievements of the 4.0 industrial revolution to develop a sustainable economy, not only for Cao Bang but also for other provinces in the region.
This Techfest event is expected to open up many opportunities for businesses and localities in developing products and expanding consumer markets.
Mr. Hoang Van Than (residing in Cao Bang City) shared: "Visiting the booths this year, there are some new technological products that people are most interested in. In the future, I hope there will be more programs so that people can access convenient products."
