The Software Park No. 2 Project (Phase 1) is on the list of key projects of Da Nang city in the period of 2021-2025. This project was started on October 10, 2020, with a total initial investment of 986 billion VND. However, due to the lack of regulations on management, use and exploitation of software parks invested by the state budget, the project had to be temporarily suspended and has not been put into use yet.
At the 20th Session (Special Session) of the Da Nang City People's Council on October 30, delegates voted to approve the adjustment of the investment policy for the Software Park No. 2 project (phase 1) with a total cost of more than 414 billion VND. The approved policy aims to synchronously complete the Software Park No. 2 consisting of 3 blocks (20-storey ICT, 8-storey ICT1 and 8-storey ICT2). After the adjustment, the project's total investment was increased to more than 1,400 billion VND.
According to the Da Nang City Statistics Office, with the capital plan allocated in 2024 of 120 billion VND, the investment capital value of the project since the beginning of the year is estimated at 69 billion VND, reaching 57.5% of the plan for the year.
