The city of Chemnitz, Sachsen state is an important industrial-technological center of the Federal Republic of Germany. Da Nang is aiming to become a high-tech, semiconductor, artificial intelligence and green technology center of Vietnam and the region.
Therefore, the event is very meaningful when connecting the government, businesses, research institutes and training institutions of the two localities, focusing on key technology fields.
The program was attended by more than 50 delegates. The composition includes leaders of the two cities, along with representatives of organizations, universities, and businesses operating in the fields of semiconductor microchips, artificial intelligence, high technology and green technology.
Speaking at the event, Vice Chairman of Da Nang City People's Committee - Ho Quang Buu emphasized the potential for cooperation between the two localities. Da Nang is being oriented to become a center of innovation and high technology in the region. The city focuses on completing strategic infrastructure such as Software Park No. 2, Free Trade Zone associated with Lien Chieu Port, and International Financial Center.
Along with that, specific mechanisms and policies create conditions to attract strategic investors. Da Nang wishes to expand cooperation in training, technology transfer, and promote businesses to deeply participate in the global value chain in the fields of semiconductor, AI and green technology.
Chemnitz side - Mr. Sven Schulze, Mayor of Chemnitz city, highly appreciates the potential for cooperation. This city is an important industrial and technological center of the state of Saxony. The two sides have many similarities in the direction of economic development associated with high technology and sustainable growth.
Representatives of Chemnitz expect the Vietnamese community in the locality to play a bridge role. This is a favorable factor to strengthen exchanges and cooperation between the two cities.
At the program, the parties introduced potentials, development orientations and exchanged specific cooperation opportunities. Some notable contents include the development of robots integrating artificial intelligence to support the elderly, connecting research and technology transfer.
Notably, the units are expected to sign a memorandum of understanding on cooperation between Fraunhofer Institute ENAS, DSAC Center and DSAI-TECH. This is an important step towards concretizing cooperation contents in the coming time.
The event opens up a practical link between Da Nang and Chemnitz. Thereby contributing to promoting the development of the city's high-tech, semiconductor and artificial intelligence ecosystem.
