The Vietnam men's futsal team will enter the opening match against Malaysia at the 33rd SEA Games against Malaysia. This is an opportunity for coach Diego Giustozzi and his team to affirm their ambition to conquer the gold medal.
The 33rd SEA Games men's futsal event brings together 5 teams including Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia and Myanmar. The teams will compete in a round robin to determine the final rankings. With an even force, determination and careful preparation, the Vietnam futsal team aims to enter the group of two leading teams, creating the premise for the next matches.
Sharing before the match, coach Diego Giustozzi frankly acknowledged: We have a very heavy schedule with 4 consecutive matches for 4 days, while the opponents all have a day off before meeting Vietnam. But that made the whole team more determined. I am satisfied because the players have shown a very good fighting spirit throughout the preparation period. This is a quality tournament and we will try to win".
The Argentine coach also said that the team is in the process of renewing the force: "We have 67 more young players and they are performing quite well. The team's playing style is based on a combination of young players and experienced faces".
