On the afternoon of March 6, University of Science and Technology, Da Nang University (ĐHĐN) in coordination with KUKA Vietnam Co., Ltd. organized the Opening Ceremony of the Center for Training, Research and Development of Industrial Robot Applications and Artificial Intelligence in Zone C, University of Science and Technology, Da Nang University.
The event marks the official implementation of the Strategic Cooperation Agreement for the period 2025-2030 between Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Da Nang University and KUKA Vietnam Co., Ltd., towards the goal of developing high-quality human resources in the fields of industrial robotics, automation, artificial intelligence and smart manufacturing.
Previously, on December 18, 2025, Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Da Nang University organized a signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation (MOU) with KUKA Vietnam Co., Ltd., opening a phase of comprehensive cooperation in training, research and technology transfer. According to the content of the cooperation agreement, the two sides agreed to build and operate the Center to become a modern training - research - technology transfer space, close to business standards and meeting the requirements of the 4.0 Industrial Revolution.

The Center for Training, Research and Development of Industrial Robot Applications and Artificial Intelligence is modernly equipped with a synchronous equipment system, including: Robot KR 6 R700 Z200 + KR C5 micro electrical cabinet; Robot KR 6 R900-2 + KR C5 micro electrical cabinet; Robot KR 70 R2100 + KR C4 electrical cabinet; Robot KR 8 R1620 arc HW + KR C4 electrical cabinet; KMP 400i self-propelled mobile robot + charging station; AMR rack; KUKA camera set; Binzel welding power source; PLC and HMI integrated conveyor belt cluster; Simulation software, control system and specialized training tools.
In addition to funding equipment, KUKA Vietnam also sends experts to participate in training lecturers, teaching support, organizing workshops, seminars, robot simulation competitions and related academic activities; and commits to upgrading modern equipment annually.
On the school's side, Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Da Nang University has arranged infrastructure, human resources and built appropriate training programs to effectively exploit the Center, aiming to train hundreds of students each year in the fields of robotics, artificial intelligence and smart manufacturing.
Putting the Center into operation not only strengthens the practical and applied research capacity for lecturers and students but also contributes to building a modern training environment, closely linking the School and businesses.
This is also an important foundation to promote sustainable cooperation between Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Da Nang University with domestic and foreign businesses, thereby enhancing the position and prestige of the University in the field of industrial robotics and artificial intelligence in the Central - Central Highlands region and nationwide.
