Ho Chi Minh City Technology Day, Conviction 2026 takes place in two days, August 14th and 15th at Thiskyhall Conference Center (10 Mai Chi Tho, Sala Urban Area, An Khanh Ward, Ho Chi Minh City).
The event is chaired by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Media - Electronics Association (EIC), the Ho Chi Minh City Blockchain Association (HBA) and the Ninety Eight ecosystem.
We expect Conviction to not just be a technology event, but to become a forum gathering policymakers, international experts, businesses, investors, startups and the innovative community to share visions, promote cooperation and create new development opportunities," Mr. Nguyen Quy Hoa, Chairman of EIC, shared at the event announcement ceremony on the afternoon of July 31.
On January 1, 2026, the Law on Digital Technology Industry 2025 officially took effect, ending more than a decade of existence in the legal "gray zone" of encrypted assets. This is the first time Vietnam has issued a comprehensive legal framework to identify, manage and protect digital assets, creating a foundation for the development of Blockchain technology and the digital economy.
In addition, Decision No. 21/2026/QD-TTg dated April 30, 2026 of the Prime Minister has included Blockchain (blockchain) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the National Strategic Technology Group, while Resolution No. 05/2025/NQ-CP creates a basis for piloting the cryptocurrency market in Vietnam.
These policies are expected to improve national competitiveness, promote innovation and open up development potential for the digital economy.

In that context, Conviction 2026 is not only an annual technology event but also a dialogue space between the public and private sectors, where policymakers, businesses, financial institutions, investment funds and the technology community exchange views on development orientations, cooperation opportunities and Blockchain and AI application models in practice.
The highlight of Conviction 2026 is the seminar "Policy, legal framework on science and technology development, digital assets, Blockchain for the Vietnamese market", gathering representatives of the National Assembly, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Justice, Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and experts and businesses in the field of digital technology.
According to shares from the organizers, the first day of the event will focus on Blockchain and Digital Assets, bringing perspectives on Blockchain infrastructure, legal framework for digital assets, asset tokenization (RWAs), stablecoin, cross-border payments and settlements, capital market development, sandbox model and the roadmap for building the International Finance Center (IFC) in Vietnam.
The second day will be dedicated to the theme of artificial intelligence (AI), focusing on technology trends, practical applications and opportunities for artificial intelligence development in many fields.
