On September 7, the Office of the Provincial People's Committee said that, according to the Plan signed and promulgated by Chief of Office of Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Phi Da, the construction of a paperless Meeting Room in the direction of a Smart Meeting Room at the Office aims to digitize the entire process of preparing, organizing and managing meetings. The core goal is to completely transform the method of providing and using documents from traditional paper to electronic platforms. Accordingly, delegates and members attending the meeting will have access to documents and programs fully and quickly through terminal devices.
This not only helps improve operational efficiency but also minimizes printing, copying, distribution and document storage space costs. The system also allows flexible organization of direct, online or combined meetings depending on actual needs.
The highlight of the "Smart Paperless Meeting Room" Plan at the Office of Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee is the research and integration of in-depth technologies into operation. Specifically, the system will exploit the function of supporting recording, summarizing content, and meeting minutes to save time and manpower.
In addition, the software not only serves during meetings but also supports summarizing content, closely monitoring the results of task implementation, and conclusions after meetings. Thereby, ensuring that all instructions are supervised to the end to produce actual results, overcoming delays in handling work.
It is expected that in November 2026, the "Paperless Meeting Room" will be put into trial operation at a number of meetings, in parallel with training for officials and civil servants. After a period of trial and overcoming limitations, the system will officially go into operation, marking a strong shift in administrative reform and digital transformation at the Provincial People's Committee Office.
