According to the Q4/2025 financial report, Google's Gemini artificial intelligence chatbot has surpassed the milestone of 750 million monthly active users (MAU). This figure shows Gemini's very rapid development, while affirming the increasingly clear position of this product in the consumer AI market, according to Techcrunch.
In Q3/2025, Google announced Gemini reached 650 million MAU, showing significant growth in a short time. In comparison, Meta AI currently records nearly 500 million monthly users. However, Gemini still ranks behind its biggest competitor ChatGPT, which is estimated to have about 810 million MAU by the end of 2025.
The new data was released immediately after Google launched Gemini 3, the version considered the company's most advanced AI model to date. According to Google, Gemini 3 has the ability to create feedback with unprecedented depth and nuances.
Google CEO Sundar Pichai said that putting Gemini 3 into AI mode is a "positive momentum" for the company's growth, while emphasizing that continuous investment and product improvement will help maintain this growth momentum.
Recently, Google also launched a cheaper service package called Google AI Plus, with a fee of 7.99 USD per month. This service package is expected to boost growth thanks to reaching a group of users who are sensitive to costs, although the launch time is too close to reflect in the data of the past quarter.
“We are focusing on both the free and paid subscription models, and are recording very good growth,” said Philipp Schindler, Google's Chief Business Officer, at a meeting with investors.
Gemini's growth momentum is even more noteworthy in Alphabet's overall financial picture. In this quarter, the group for the first time surpassed the 400 billion USD annual revenue mark. Google said this result came from the expansion of the AI segment, where demand is increasing sharply. Recently, the company also introduced the latest generation of AI TPU boosters called Ironwood, to compete directly with Nvidia.
