On May 15, the Department of Science and Technology of Hai Duong organized a workshop on "Breakthrough in developing science and technology and digital transformation, towards building a smart city, a center for innovation".
Speaking at the workshop, Vice Chairman of Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh Hung emphasized that Hai Duong is prioritizing the development of core technology platforms such as AI, blockchain, fintech, cloud computing... to create a breakthrough in socio-economic development.
These are also superior solutions that bring practical results to the government, people and businesses when applying new technology to production, operation and service provision, aiming for economic, cultural and social development associated with the strengths and potential of the locality.
In particular, in the context of Hai Duong province and Hai Phong city preparing to merge, creating a premise for the breakthrough development of the Northern key economic region.
On this occasion, the Department of Science and Technology of Hai Duong and the Department of Science and Technology of Hai Phong agreed and signed a memorandum of understanding on the plan to implement tasks on digital transformation when merging Hai Phong city and Hai Duong province.
In addition to the 12 shared application systems that have been reviewed and evaluated, the two sides continue to agree on the plan for the arising system, items, criteria for selecting technology solutions and developing a synchronous and synchronous plan for the systems to ensure that when merging provinces, the systems will be put into operation immediately without service interruption.
The workshop is an activity in response to World Innovation and Innovation Day, and at the same time celebrates Vietnam Science and Technology Day 2025, contributing to putting the spirit of Resolution 57-NQ/TW into practice.
