On the morning of October 24, the Department of Information and Communications of Quang Binh province organized a training session on using software to manage activities of contacting, working with and providing information to the press.
Mr. Hoang Thanh Hien - Deputy Director of Department of Information and Communications of Quang Binh province said that the application of this software is a great effort of the Department to support the work of contacting, working and providing information to the press.
“The software will shorten the working time between the parties, but what we expect most is that the software will contribute to the transition of direct work to online for reporters. In addition, the software will also display which agencies, departments, and localities are slow to answer questions and inquiries from reporters. From here, the Department will compare accordingly to send documents to local departments and departments to promptly remind them,” said Mr. Hien.
This software is expected to be applied in Quang Binh from early 2025.
Quang Binh Department of Information and Communications said that the software for managing contact, working and providing information to the press of state administrative agencies in the province has many functions.
For journalists: The software provides a list of spokespersons of state administrative agencies in the province; supports registration, proposes content, work programs and receives and confirms work appointments from state agencies and units online.
In case the reporter has registered to work permanently in the area, he/she can send a request to the state agency or unit to provide information online, without having to work directly (no need to register and receive an appointment).
In addition, the software also provides a utility channel for information to reflect to the state press management agency (Department of Information and Communications) on the difficulties and problems of journalists in accessing, working, collecting information, and performing press work...
For state agencies and units (departments, branches, sectors, localities): The software will publicize the list of resident reporters operating in the province; provide utilities to receive information on work proposals from journalists to arrange schedules, assign personnel, prepare work content, provide appropriate information to the press, etc.
In case reporters come to register to work directly and are accepted to work immediately, the agencies and units are responsible for updating the information of the reporter's registration, content, and work results on the software system.
For the Department of Information and Communications, the software is a popular support tool, guiding the implementation of legal regulations related to the press; supporting the monitoring and synthesis of the situation of contact, work, and information provision to the press of agencies, units, and localities.
