Accordingly, Huawei, Honor, Oppo, Tencent, ZTE and Coolpad recently signed a "compliance commitment letter" to protect users' personal data in the application, standardizing the collection and use of personal information.
In addition, they will ensure that developers strictly comply with the " petship protection law". Companies will review whether the applications meet the following basic principles:
privacy: Application and application distribution platforms must provide long-term privacy policies, easy access to personal information processing rules, user rights enforcement and complaint channels; if related to personal information of minors, separate rules must also be listed.
user consent: The operator must notify users when processing personal data and limit the default boxes or packaged permission; separate consent is mandatory for processing sensitive personal information; and users must be effectively protected after revoking their consent.
Data processing: Operators must comply with the minimum and necessary principles of data when processing personal information. Artificial Intelligence services must not abuse the collection or storage of personal information and training data related to personal information that must comply with the law.
Protect user rights: The operator must notify users that they have the right to review, copy, edit, delete and limit processing. The operator must accept and process the user's request within 15 working days and no obstacles are created.
