Hung Yen Provincial People's Committee issued a Plan to organize the Hung Yen Provincial Startup and Innovation Contest in 2026, to search, select and support startup ideas and projects with development potential.

Contestants are individuals, groups of individuals and startup businesses with startup and innovation projects with rapid growth potential based on exploiting intellectual property, technology, and new business models, expected to be deployed and developed in Hung Yen province.

For start-up businesses, the registration period for operation is no more than 5 years from the date of being granted the first registration certificate. Each group of individuals participating does not exceed 5 members.

The competition focuses on 2 fields including technology startups and startups with innovative business models. The Organizing Committee encourages ideas and projects with specific products, associated with the specific characteristics and strengths of the locality; prioritizing high technology, digital technology, robots, artificial intelligence (AI), Blockchain, IoT, UAV, new materials, high-tech agriculture, digital transformation, safety, network security...

The contest is organized through the preliminary round and the final round. In the preliminary round, individuals, groups of individuals, and startup businesses submit applications according to the prescribed form; The Organizing Committee selects eligible projects to enter the next round. In the final round, contestants directly present projects and ideas to the Judging Council to select excellent projects.

The time to receive applications is from July 15 to the end of September 15, 2026. The preliminary round is graded from September 16 to September 25, 2026. The final round is expected to take place from September 25 to October 5, 2026.

Potential projects will be trained in presentation skills, planning and networking with startup advisors. Projects and ideas that meet the requirements will be awarded prizes, and also have the opportunity to participate in the province's investment connection forum and other events.

The prize structure is divided into 2 groups for projects in the form of ideas, without products, and projects with products.

For projects in the form of ideas, there are 1 First Prize worth 40 million VND, 2 Second Prizes worth 30 million VND/prize, 4 Third Prizes worth 20 million VND/prize and 6 Consolation Prizes worth 10 million VND/prize.

For projects that already have products, the First prize is worth 80 million VND, 2 Second prizes are worth 60 million VND/prize, 4 Third prizes are worth 40 million VND/prize and 6 Consolation prizes are worth 20 million VND/prize.

The closing and award ceremony is expected to be held on October 10, 2026, at the Hung Yen Provincial Information - Conference Center, Quang Truong street, Pho Hien ward, Hung Yen province. The event combines display and introduction of products of participating projects and an investment connection forum at the opening ceremony of Techfest HungYen2026.
