On July 9, the Ca Mau Provincial Labor Federation organized the presentation of gifts under the program "Love Summer - Trade Union Accompanying" to 100 children of union members and workers in the province.
According to the Ca Mau Provincial Labor Federation, many union member and laborer families still face difficulties in investing in learning facilities for their children. From the support of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the unit has donated 100 sets of reading and learning English markers to help children access modern learning methods and improve foreign language skills.
In the first phase, the Ca Mau Provincial Labor Federation awarded 45 sets to union members' children in Tan Thanh, An Xuyen and Ly Van Lam wards. The rest was allocated to trade unions of communes, wards and grassroots trade unions directly under it to continue awarding to children before the new school year.
Vice Chairman of the Ca Mau Provincial Labor Federation Ngo Diem Phuc said that the program not only supports learning facilities but also shows the concern and companionship of the trade union organization with union members, workers and families. Reading marker sets are expected to help students become more interested in learning English, forming self-study skills and accessing new learning methods.
Representing parents whose children received gifts, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy Ai, a member of the grassroots Trade Union of Huynh Thinh Seafood Co., Ltd., said that the program is practical in that it not only cares about the lives of union members but also pays attention to the education of workers' children before the new school year.
According to the Ca Mau Provincial Labor Federation, in the coming time, trade union levels in the province will continue to implement many activities to care for union members, workers and children of union members, contributing to improving living standards and building warm, progressive and happy union member families.
