Hung Yen Provincial People's Committee has just issued a Plan to organize the implementation of digital cultural infrastructure in the province, in order to synchronously implement goals, tasks, and solutions on cultural development, while improving the efficiency of management, preservation and promotion of cultural values in the digital environment.
According to the plan, Hung Yen will invest, build and develop digital cultural infrastructure to serve connection, transmission, processing, and calculation; deploy synchronously on the basis of taking people as the center, digital data as the foundation, digital technology as the tool, innovation as the driving force and traditional cultural values as the core. Thereby, contributing to improving the effectiveness of state management, preserving and promoting traditional cultural values and meeting the requirements of sustainable development.
A key task is to build a digital cultural database in the direction of "building once, using many times". Data will be standardized to connect, share and effectively exploit with common digital platforms of the province and connect with the Central Government.
Prioritized areas for digitization include relics, museum artifacts, libraries, entertainment arts, publishing and media. The province also aims to support and protect intellectual property rights, while creating conditions for people to participate in creating, preserving, sharing and updating data on culture and heritage in the digital environment.
Notably, the plan sets a target of digitizing 100% of relics. In 2026, the province strives to complete the digitization of 100% of relics ranked at the national special level, national level and 100% of intangible cultural heritage in the National List of Intangible Cultural Heritage.
Along with that is building digital databases, applying 3D technology, virtual reality, augmented reality, automatic interpretation, QR codes and digital maps in management, preservation, promotion, and promotion of heritage values, serving education, tourism and people's access needs.
The province also orients the development of the cultural industry to become an important economic sector, associated with promoting heritage values, developing tourism and digital transformation; forming a number of unique cultural products and brands with Hung Yen identity.
At the same time, building a digital cultural space, encouraging the creation of digital content about history, culture, heritage and strengthening connection and sharing of provincial cultural data with the national data system.
