Instagram allows editing of comments within 15 minutes after posting

Meta added comment editing feature on Instagram, but limited to the first 15 minutes.

Meta is deploying a feature that allows users to edit comments posted on Instagram, with a maximum of 15 minutes from posting.

Users can only edit comments posted by their own account. The operation is quite simple, click on the "Edit" item under the comments, edit the content in the text box that appears, then click the blue checkmark to save the changes. Within 15 minutes, users can edit multiple times if needed.

Comments on Instagram now appear in many different formats, including in Stories (from 2024), so the addition of editing capabilities is considered to enhance the user experience.

This is one of the many Meta changes applied to Instagram recently. Previously in March, the company announced the removal of end-to-end encryption for live messages.

At the same time, Meta also started testing the Instagram Plus subscription service, unlocking new features for Stories.
