Apple has just added a feature that many users have long been waiting for on the iOS 26 operating system: allowing the installation of bell music directly from the audio file available on the iPhone, without having to go through the computer or third-party application as before.
After updating to iOS 26, iPhone users can save an MP3 or M4A file with a length of less than 30 seconds in "File".
Then click on the "Sharing" icon and select "Using to make bell music".
This song will immediately appear in the Settings → A sound & moved → Clock music section for users to activate.
This new feature is highly appreciated for helping to simplify the process of personalizing bell music on the iPhone, which was previously quite complicated, requiring users to create bell music files using iTunes or a third application.
However, Apple still applies certain limitations: audio files must have a maximum duration of 30 seconds, not taken from Apple Music or sources with DRM copyright protection.
Users can still buy background music from the iTunes Store as before.
The addition of the feature of installing live bell music on the iPhone is considered a rare "easy" move from Apple, allowing users to customize their personal devices more conveniently.
This is also one of the small but valuable upgrades, showing the direction of improving the user experience of iOS 26.
