Both the iPhone 17 and the iPhone 17 Plus with an aluminum frame have had purple and blue test versions, but Apple will only keep one. Purple is currently rated higher.
The new purple color is described as liveness, modernity, expressing strong personality and is very suitable for aluminum frames. Meanwhile, blue is said to bring a fresh, natural feeling, suitable for users who love minimalism but still want to create highlights.
This is not the first time the iPhone has turned purple. In previous years, Apple has successfully launched this color in iPhone 12, 13 and 15, both during the official release and in the mid-term product cycle. In contrast, blue rarely appears and often does not attract much attention.
In addition to color, the standard iPhone 17 is expected to have many outstanding improvements compared to previous generations. Notably, the larger screen with a scanning frequency of 120Hz first appeared on the non-Pro iPhone line, giving a smoother rollable experience, smoother photos and better battery optimization.
The machine will also be equipped with an A18 chip and a single rear camera cluster, located in the medicine-shaped edge extending the entire width of the device.
