According to records on Apple Store Vietnam, from September 10, Apple adjusted to increase the price of some iPhone models being sold. iPhone 16 128 GB version is listed at 24.99 million VND, an increase of 2 million VND compared to before.
iPhone 17 256 GB version is priced at 28.99 million VND, iPhone 17e is priced at 21.99 million VND and iPhone Air 256 GB is priced at 34.99 million VND, both increased by 4 million VND. For versions with higher memory capacity, the increase is also greater.
Meanwhile, iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max have been removed from Apple Store Vietnam after the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max duo were launched.
However, Apple's increase in the listed price does not mean that the price of old iPhones on the market also increases accordingly. Used models currently still have significantly lower prices, depending on the model, capacity and condition.

According to the September 2026 updated price list of the 24hStore system, used iPhone 17 is priced at about 19.49-23.99 million VND, iPhone 16 from 14.79-17.49 million VND and iPhone 15 from 11.89-14.99 million VND.
In the Pro Max group, the old iPhone 16 Pro Max is listed at about 22.99-27.49 million VND, while the iPhone 15 Pro Max is priced at about 16.99-22.49 million VND.
The old 256 GB iPhone 17 at 24hStore is priced at about 19.49-21.99 million VND, depending on the device's condition. Thus, this price is about 7-9 million VND lower than the new iPhone 17 of the same capacity being listed by Apple.
At Di Dong Viet, old iPhone 17 256 GB is listed at about 19.79 million VND; old iPhone 17 Pro 256 GB is about 27.79 million VND and old iPhone 17 Pro Max 256 GB is about 30.79 million VND.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Duc - who specializes in trading iPhone lines in Hung Yen - said that after Apple announced the new generation iPhone, customers began to pay more attention to used models.
According to Mr. Duc, this group of customers are mainly people who want to exchange phones but consider the cost, especially when the prices of new iPhone models and some genuine models are increasing.
Customers today often compare prices between new and old phones before deciding. For lines like iPhone 17 or 16 Pro Max, if the phone is still beautiful, has a good battery and a clear origin, the difference of a few million VND compared to a new phone still makes many people consider it," Mr. Duc shared.
According to the seller, when buying an old iPhone, customers also pay a lot of attention to the actual condition of the device. In addition to the appearance and battery health, buyers often check whether the device has been repaired or replaced with components.
In fact, the price of used phones on the market has a fairly large differentiation. For the same model, different capacity versions and phone conditions, the selling price may differ significantly. Phones with beautiful appearance, unrepaired and good battery condition are often sold at a higher price.
Meanwhile, long-used machines with scratched appearance or a history of repairs are often priced lower, suitable for groups of customers who value thrift.

Apple's introduction of iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max into the new product line, and the launch of iPhone Duo with a high starting price, also creates a significant gap between segments in the market.
iPhone 18 Pro in Vietnam is priced from 38.999 million VND, while iPhone 18 Pro Max is from 41.999 million VND. iPhone Duo - Apple's first folding screen iPhone model has a starting price of 64.999 million VND for the 256 GB version.
In the opposite direction, buyers can access previous generations of iPhones at lower prices through the used phone market. This is why this segment is still attractive, even though Apple has just launched a new generation of products.
However, the listed prices at stores are for reference only. The actual price also depends on the capacity, appearance, battery health, origin of the machine, accompanying accessories and warranty policies of each selling place.
According to many sellers, in the coming days, the price of used iPhones may continue to fluctuate depending on the source of goods and purchasing power. The launch of new iPhones does not necessarily mean that all previous generations will simultaneously reduce prices, especially in the context that Apple has adjusted the price of some genuine models being sold.
