The information that Meta will stop plug Like and Comment has made some users and website operators question its ability to affect the interactive experience. Meta said that removing these two plugin does not disrupt the technical performance of websites, because they are just additional embedded tools, not affecting the content system or main interface.
However, many opinions say that although not as popular as before, plugin still plays the role of a familiar operation or tool to warn the level of interest of readers.
Ms. Ha Van (Hanoi) said that she had previously occasionally clicked like right on articles to mark that she had read them, so when she heard that Meta had abandoned this feature, she was worried about "losing a familiar operation". Meanwhile, Mr. Van Thang (Hanoi) also wondered whether removing the implement would make sharing or commenting on electronic newspapers more inconvenient. At the same time, Mr. Thang is also worried that the sales website he is managing will look "less vibrant" when there are no more interactions or comments.
Discussing this issue with Lao Dong, Mr. Bui Cong Duyen - Product Director of ONECMS convergence Publishing House affirmed that Meta's suspension of support for plugin Like and Comment has a very limited impact on both users and publishing houses in Vietnam.

According to him, the habit of readers has changed over the years: most of them comment, share or express their emotions directly on Facebook, TikTok, Instagram or Zalo, instead of interacting through submerged Plots. Therefore, most users will hardly notice the difference, Mr. Duyen emphasized. He also added that very few electronic newspapers in Vietnam currently still use Facebook comments, so the technical impact is almost zero.
From the editorial perspective, according to the Production Director of ONECMS convergence editing, this is not a shock but a reminder of the risks of relying on the tools of foreign platforms, especially in the context of a sharp decrease in the number of visits from social networks to newspapers. Units that are still using old platen only need to prepare replacement solutions soon to ensure the experience.
Mr. Duyen believes that Meta's changes actually strengthen the sustainable direction that many news agencies are pursuing: multi-platform, master data and build direct relationships with readers. The important indicators of the press today are no longer the number of likes from Facebook, but the time to read, the rate of feedback and the level of participation in the press's private communities.
