On the afternoon of December 16, Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee held a press conference to inform about the international conference "New strategy and vision for the development of Di Linh plateau".
This is considered a breakthrough factor to realize the aspiration of "Silicon Highland" in Vietnam of Lam Dong province in the new period.
Speaking at the press conference, Mr. Dinh Van Tuan, Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee, emphasized: Lam Dong province is facing new development opportunities, especially after the administrative boundaries are rearranged, forming a large and potential development space.
Lam Dong also has a strategic position connecting the South Central Coast and the Central Highlands.
In that overall picture, Di Linh Plateau emerges as a land that converges all the advantages of natural conditions, climate, land, landscape, green energy and inter-regional traffic location.
Recognizing the strategic role of this land, Lam Dong province coordinated with the Central Committee for Policy and Strategy to organize an international conference "New strategy and vision for the development of Di Linh plateau".
The workshop is expected to welcome about 400 domestic and international delegates, including representatives of central departments and branches; foreign trade and dealings departments in Vietnam; corporations, technology organizations, consulting companies such as Apple, Nvidia, Samsung, Siemens, Google, softBank, BCG, McKinsey...
In addition, there were experts, scientists, representatives of research institutes, major universities at home and abroad, representatives of provinces, cities and press agencies.
The purpose of the workshop was to build a scientific basis, updated and comprehensive data on the potential of Di Linh plateau, from natural conditions, environment, planning to infrastructure, agriculture, tourism and knowledge economy.
On that basis, delegates will propose strategic orientations and breakthrough development models, making Di Linh plateau a center of knowledge - science - technology - health of the region; a new, green and sustainable growth pole of Lam Dong province in the period of 2025 - 2035.
The workshop will also make recommendations on specific policies, mechanisms and modern governance models to attract strategic investment, promote international cooperation and form a strong innovative environment in the Di Linh Plateau.
The workshop is scheduled to take place in Xuan Huong - Da Lat ward (Lam Dong province) on December 19 and 20.
