Proactively check subscriber information
The temporary suspension of one-way services began to be implemented immediately after Circular 08/2026/TT-BKHCN took effect from April 15 and network operators completed sending notices in installments to users. This applies to subscribers who have received notifications but have not verified them within the required time. Therefore, the most important step is for users to check their subscriber status.
People can look up phone numbers in their names through the VNeID application or the network operator's application to know if they are eligible for verification or not.
If no notice or unusual information is detected, the subscriber can continue to use it normally.
Conduct verification immediately upon receiving notification
According to network operators, not all subscribers must re-verify. Only cases with incomplete, incorrect information or needing to be updated will receive requests.
Therefore, when receiving an official message or notification, users should verify it early instead of procrastinating. This is the simplest way to avoid one-way service suspension.
Verification can be carried out through the network operator's application, VNeID application or directly at the transaction point.
Ensure accurate subscriber information
One of the reasons for having to authenticate is that subscriber registration information is no longer appropriate, such as using old documents or data that has not been fully updated.
Users should check their personal information registered with the network operator, especially if they used a 9-digit identity card before or registered a long time ago.
Timely updates help limit the occurrence of authentication requests and avoid the risk of service interruption.
Do not use unauthorized SIMs
According to network operators, using SIMs not in the owner's name poses many risks, including the risk of service being suspended when authentication is deployed.
Users should convert information to the right user or re-register according to regulations to ensure long-term benefits.
Beware of fake messages and links
In addition to proactive verification, users also need to be vigilant against messages or calls requesting information updates via strange links.
Network operators affirm that authentication should only be carried out through official channels. People should not provide OTP codes, passwords or personal information to unidentified sources...
