On April 28, 2026, Viettel Telecom Corporation (Viettel Telecom) said that to make verifying customer subscriber information as easy and fast as possible, Viettel has organized a network of support points with extremely large scale. The deployment of nearly 50,000 verification support points nationwide helps customers easily access services, completing the protection of genuine SIMs before the time of communication blocking according to Circular 08.
The largest direct support network today

With 50,000 subscriber information verification points, Viettel Telecom is currently the telecommunications enterprise owning the largest direct support network in Vietnam. This system is widely distributed, from urban to rural areas, helping customers to flexibly choose the most convenient location for themselves, including:
- Official store system: Viettel transaction store system, Viettel Store supermarket nationwide.
- Large retail chain system: Reputable authorized partners such as The Gioi Di Dong/Dien May Xanh, FPT Shop, CellphoneS, Hoang Ha Mobile.
- Local chain stores: Points of sale and affiliated agents in each commune, ward, and town directly support people in remote and isolated areas.
- Mobile support points: Being proactively arranged by Viettel directly in villages, residential areas, or crowded places during major holidays.
Working during the holidays April 30 - May 1
According to Circular 08/2026/TT-BKHCN effective from April 15, after receiving notification from the network operator, users will have about 30 - 60 days to update information and supplement facial recognition according to regulations. After the set deadline, telecommunications enterprises are forced to temporarily suspend the provision of incoming telecommunications services (cannot make phone calls, send SMS messages) for subscribers who do not update, do not supplement facial photo biometrics or biometric authentication does not match the national database.

Aiming for 100% of customers eligible for information verification to be completed ahead of schedule, Viettel Telecom affirms that it has mobilized all forces to participate in this campaign.
In particular, before the long holiday, a representative of Viettel Telecom emphasized: "The long holidays of April 30 and May 1 are an opportunity for us to serve customers, especially those who are busy going to work on weekdays. The entire store system and Viettel staff nationwide are ready to work throughout the holiday to support people, soon achieve the set goals and not let any customers have their communication interrupted.
Diverse online channels and warnings
In addition to the network of 50,000 direct support points, Viettel encourages customers to proactively carry out verification right at home through the VneID application (applied to customers who have identified VNeID level 2) or My Viettel. The process of self-verifying information, scanning NFC citizen identification cards and facial verification on the app takes place very smoothly, only a few minutes. To thank customers, Viettel is still applying to give up to 50,000 VND to promotional accounts to use intra-network calls and data for successful verified customers. To determine whether your subscriber is required to verify information, customers only need to text with the syntax TTTB CCCD or CMND number to 1414.
The network operator also warned: People need to be vigilant, absolutely do not provide OTP codes and passwords to strangers calling claiming to be switchboard staff, and do not access strange links requesting to download fake applications to verify information. All operations need to be performed at the official transaction point or through the My Viettel/VNeID application.
